Constant improvement is a way of life around APEX HQ, which is why we’re always looking for ways to challenge ourselves. Traveling to different territories is one effective strategy for accelerating professional development. Jaye, our Director of Operations, explained, “Our team will be traveling for a week to a few new markets. It’s a great opportunity for our associates to stretch beyond their current skill sets.”
Getting a look at how other high-achieving teams do their work will be a learning experience for all of us. We’re sure to come back to the APEX office with a variety of fresh insights to apply to our own challenging goals. It’s always a good idea to get a different perspective on the work we do and figure out where we can make refinements.
Jaye also believes in the networking potential of traveling to different markets. “You never know where the connections you make on a business trip might lead,” he noted. “Along with having a great source of advice, our people’s new contacts could lead to unexpected opportunities for APEX to expand its market influence as well.”
Morale gets a boost from team travel events too. Jaye remarked, “Getting away from work routines allows our people to see each other in a different light. They communicate more openly when they return to the office because they have a stronger sense of team spirit after a business trip.”
